Jeremy Johnson was raised in the Metro Atlanta area and has been surrounded by music since he was a toddler. His mother, a singer and children's choir director in the church, introduced him early to the joy of music through singing. After noticing him play tunes on the piano by ear, his parents enrolled him in piano lessons at age six, launching a lifelong journey of musical appreciation. Studying multiple genres and building a foundation in music theory, Jeremy went on to perform in National Federation of Music Clubs competitions and festivals, earning multiple accolades and awards along the way. As Jeremy grew, so did his passion for music. Throughout middle school and high school, while continuing his piano studies, he played trumpet in the Wind Ensemble and served as the main pianist for the Music Makers Club, a student group at West Forsyth High School that formed a jam band and performed at seasonal banquets. During this time, he also discovered his love for music production. Learning about producers and composers like Quincy Jones, Hans Zimmer, and Nile Rodgers opened his eyes to the many mediums music can inhabit and the ways it can move a listener. Jeremy graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor's degree in Music Industry Management, completing a multidisciplinary study of the music industry's many facets. From the moment a song is first ideated on an instrument, to the structure of the music itself, to how that music ultimately reaches the listener, Jeremy brings a well-rounded perspective to any musical inquiry. While in college, he earned an internship at Loud House Studios, where he collaborated with musicians and producers and began teaching those unfamiliar with music theory. These early teaching sessions reminded him of his own lessons growing up and the path that had led him to that point. In 2023, Jeremy began teaching lessons independently, both in-home and online.
