Faith Carson

What I Teach:

Piano

Education:

Webster University

Why I love Music:

Faith Carson, a native of the Metro East Saint Louis area, grew up with music as a constant inspiration. She first started playing the piano when she was four years old. Both her grandparents held their master’s degrees in music, and she has fond memories of learning from them as a child, as well as various other instructors, throughout her life. Drawing from backgrounds in both classical and jazz traditions, she has developed strong skills in performance, improvisation, ear training, and composition.

Today, Faith enjoys performing, composing original music, and collaborating with fellow musicians and artists. As a teacher, she believes that every student learns differently and that piano lessons should be tailored to individual goals, interests, and learning styles. Whether working with beginners or advanced students, Faith creates a supportive environment that encourages growth, confidence, and creativity. Faith meets with each student to discuss goals, identify areas of strength, and determine opportunities for growth. Music is an individual journey, and Faith delights to see her students understand how they can grow as artists, using music as their means of personal expression.

Faith holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Webster University and is a multifaceted creator. Choreographic dance works and films featuring original musical scores by Faith have been shown at national festivals, and conferences. Passionate about teaching, she finds great joy in helping students discover their unique musical voice and develop a lifelong appreciation for music.
