Jewell Howell

Piano • Violin •  Guitar • Voice • Viola • Cello • Ukulele

Converse College

A talented multi-instrumentalist teaching voice, piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar and ukulele the sky is the limit when working with Jewel. She began music at a very young age with violin and expanded to the other instruments later in her youth as a high school freshman.

Her experience as a performer has run the gamut of music as she has performed with Young Singers of Callanwolde and majored in Viola performance at Converse College in Spartansburg. During this same time, she received instruction and quickly became proficient on the piano to add to her impressive diversity of musical capability.

Jewell sees herself as a teacher who cares about the long-term growth and confidence of her students. She has assisted many students to get into All-State Music Festivals and prides herself in seeing the potential of every student, and helping them realize that potential and more.

As "My Favorite Things" from the Sound of Music is her way of describing her teaching style, she puts a lot of care and patience into leading students to understand, develop and create their own musical expression on whatever instrument they decide to pursue.
